“Napalm Girl” was one of the most memorable
and iconic photos taken during the Vietnam War
June 8, 1972: Kim Phuc, center, running down a road nude near Trang Bang after a South Vietnamese Air Force napalm attack. (Photo by Nick Ut /AP) (The image is an Associated Press photograph that won the Pulitzer Prize for spot news.)

V-J Day in Times Square is a photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt that portrays an American sailor kissing a young nurse in a white dress on V-J Day in Times Square on August 14, 1945. The photograph was published a week later in Life magazine.
